My Thoughts on Bullying

Bullying is such an ugly thing, and in reality, it happens in every school. In some schools it happens more than in others, but it should not happen at all. I witnessed bullying on my first year of high school, but it was nothing new to me since I had already witnessed it in middle school. I had never been bullied or never was I the bully, but I never took action either when I witnessed bullying. I believe that that the reason as to why I never did anything to help the person being bullied is because each time they stood up to the bully. For example, a friend of mine in 9th grade was sort of a bully. One day in physical ed. class she began to call another girl names and embarrass her in front of her friends. The things she was saying to her were very rude but the other girl did not take it, she stood up to her and a huge argument broke out. The teachers were able to stop them, but that proves that bullying can lead to greater things, not only hurt feelings. Bullying can lead to so many negative things such as fights, hurt feelings, thoughts of suicide, etc. Bullying should not have to be an issue, especially not in high schools were kids are supposed to be mature.

My Favorite Movie

Two of my favorite movies are Pitch Perfect and Maleficent. The reason as to why Pitch Perfect is my favorite movie is because all the girls in the movie are very distinct from each other, but they manage to set their differences aside and work together to win the competition. Not only that but the movie is very funny and it has a touch of love in it as well. Also, another thing that makes Pitch Perfect one of my favorite movies is that the sound tracks in the movie are very familiar to me in comparison to other movies in which I cannot recognize the music. Maleficent is my second favorite movie because Disney managed to turn an animated princess fairytale into an actual movie with actual human beings. They did a very good job because it looks very realistic, but most importantly they added a twist to the movie. They were able to tell the other side of the story since everybody only knew one side of the story. I not only enjoyed watching the movie, but it also taught me a lesson: that to every story there are two sides and one cannot decide who is really the bad person without hearing both sides.
